Introducing a new world class museum.
Mediatrope developed the Natural History Museum of Utah's website to promote their new brand identity and invite visitors to come explore the new Rio Tinto Center and its many offerings.
The visual language of the site draws on the Museum's identity and references elements of the building design as well as the physical landscape.
The site provides easy access to targeted information for educators and families, and includes an entire Newsdesk site to promote the opening and ongoing events. An interactive calendar and prominent social networking tools invite visitor engagement and dialogue.
The site is also component of the Trailhead to Utah system, which allows visitors at the museum to capture information on their smart phones. The online portal for the Trailhead provides a record of the museum experience, and provides access to additional content, such as related points of interest in Utah, excavation sites, locations of other works by artists featured in the exhibitions, videos, and relevant external sites.
